This starter pack is great for new players. It contains two decks. The decks are packed in a certain order so two players can learn to play with the accompanying Learn-To-Play guides right out of the box. The Learn-To-Play guides (one for each player) teach players about the different types of cards (species, boost, xeko, hotspot) and how to use them. It’s also a great way to introduce the game to friends and family since the Learn-To-Play guides explain the rules so it’s easy to understand the game. For more detailed rules, players can look in the Official Rule Book (part of the starter pack). The cards have cool pictures and bits of information. It’s a great game for friends and family and could get kids interested in conservation and/or interested in learning more about different species of animals. The starter pack also comes with a unique play mat, which includes hints and tips to use when playing.
