Option 1 (Starter Bundle per two players):
One Starter Set will provide you with everything necessary to get two players started however the desks can quickly become stale without a booster pack to mix in. Therefore you typically want one starter and two boosters per two players to keep the game fresh and dynamic. This works out to about $11-15 per player depending upon the number of players and mission(s) selected.
Option 2 (1 Starter Set for entire group - 4 boosters per player):
There are 9 cards per booster pack and based on an average deck size of 25-30 cards, that works out to a little over 3 packs per deck. To keep the game dynamic and the desks changing we recommend at least 4 boosters (36 cards) minimum per player to get started. One Starter Set from any mission should be purchased to teach and provide a copy of an official rule book. These Starter Sets contain about 50 cards which can be split up among other players once a training game is complete. When combined with a Booster Box (24 x 9 card packs) this brings the total number of cards available for play to 266 which is enough for about 7 players at a cost of about $13 per player. This model scales well for larger groups. For example, a group of 28 players would need 4 booster boxes plus one starter which works out to about $10 per player after the discount.
No one scenario will work best for everyone so we encourage you to contact us if you would like assistance putting something together.
